WWPhiladelphia presents the "Captain Cheesesteak" Eating Contest
Wizard World Philadelphia will hold its second annual "Captain Cheesesteak" Eating Contest on Saturday, June 4 at 2:00 pm/EST by the main entrance to the Philadelphia Convention Center floor (inside). Cheesesteaks will be provided by none other than the legendary Geno's Steaks -- home of the original cheesesteak!
Sign up at the media relations booth for your chance to be one of eight randomly selected contestants to face off in a battle of will, superhero powers and digestive tract stamina that will crown this year's Wizard World Philadelphia "Captain Cheesesteak." Additionally, the winner will receive a custom portrait (you as Captain Cheesesteak) by Marvel's very own Skottie Young (artist, Venom l Human Torch and New Warriors ). NOTE: To be selected, applicants MUST be in full costume.
The entry deadline is Saturday, June 4 at 1:30. At that time, eight participants will be randomly selected and called to the competition area. If competitors do not arrive within five minutes of being called, a new name will be drawn. Below is a a list of rules and regulations

Cheesesteak Contest: Rules and Regulations
Rules:
- Contestants will compete against one another.
- The object is to eat as many Geno's cheesesteaks as possible within the allotted time: five minutes.
- Any cheesesteak in the contestants mouth at the sound of the closing whistle counts toward the final tally (as long as it is swallowed)
- Dunking and crunching the cheese steak and bun are allowed.
- Separating the contents and eating items individually is also allowed.
- At the sound of the whistle, competitors must put down their food. If competitors are left with remnants in their hands, the remaining cheese steak will not count toward the final tally.
- Once the competition begins, participants may not leave the table.
Superheroes don't throw up. If they do, they're not really superheroes and will be disqualified from the competition.
- In the event of a tie, there will be an “eat-off round.” The first person to consume a full cheesesteak will be named “Captain Cheesesteak.”
